I Saw an Unusual Animal - What Unusual Animal Have You Seen?

When I was 33, I moved from South Jersey to Virginia. A year later, I married. We moved to Nelson County, Virginia, and in the 1990s, we moved to the eastern side of the county. Like other families, we had laundry to wash. Some of it was large enough and o

Does Microwave Cooking Encourage Fat Women?

I categorize this as humor, since it is not to be taken TOO seriously. And, rest assured, it's not intended to be aimed as a weapon at fat women. Hey! I'm fat. Nevertheless, it is more than humor in that it is a kind of half-seriously held theory of mine.

A Real Jewel - Part Cowboy Part Detective - What the Hec?

I have internet. I'm not well-to-do. I hate almost all modern broadcasting. What do I do? I look for "old favorites" and search for new "old favorites". I struck pay dirt. I watched an episode or three of Have Gun - Will Travel, starring Richard Boone. I

Excitement Today: Rabbit Afoot!

Well, I heard an exciting cry from the kitchen this morning... "Vince, I need your help and I need it NOW!" My wife is the excitable type. So I knew she wasn't dying or badly injured. But there was a lot of commotion as if the dog was going crazy in the d

The Dichotomy of the Smile and Handshake

You're standing there, observing an individual's face. Then his hand. He reaches out to you, not to hit you, but to grasp your hand. You look up and see a smile on it. But how do you interpret that smile? That smile may be a wonderful smile, or it may be

Two Income Families

Before WWII, most families in the U.S. included a working husband and a stay-at-home wife. "Keeping house" says the U.S. Census. So the average family existed on a single income. And exist they did.But for those few years during the war, many women became

How Young Couples Got a Good Financial Start

"Once upon a time, about, oh, seventy years ago..." Yes, this is about past times, and for good reason. You've heard it said 'we learn from past mistakes' right? Well what about from past successes? In the 1940s and 1950s (and, really, since time immemor

A New Adventure Hero

Many note we live in dangerous times, and that is so! - 2 Timothy 3:1-5. However, these times are also a number of other things. These times are not without their humorous moments. I think of the adventure movies for grownups and kids, such as the Nationa

I'm getting old. I'm slipping. Friends of mine are going through the same thing. Yet, others, it seems numbers of them, are undergoing worse. Within the fraction of a month, I've lost dear friends and acquaintances: Danny Collins, Lester Campbell, Walte

Decoded Science Says Goodbye

It had much potential. Decoded Science. The "working conditions" were excellent, and it was one of the few paying sites. And they were interested in the quality of the writers and each article offered. Articles were to be written with expertise and solid r

Hey I see you have made your Facebook wall all about your website. Q S . That is a good way to let people know what you are all about. I like it. I had to send a friend request because I apparently have fallen off your radar lately. I hope you accept my friend request.

If you used to write at Persona Paper and have left, do you feel the occasional urge to stop back and see what gives now? Why not pen a piece while you're here? It's not all that hard to do. The articles don't have to be of novel length... Persona Paper presents interesting possibilities...

Good day to you

I agree. I almost feel like the last man standing. I will begin fresh at HubPages and just a little bit at myLot. Meantime I will be available via email and will be reading more of your articles at Querky Science and Decoded Science. Maybe one day a new site will exist that pays and that provides some level of good writers. myLot is not a serious writing site but I find it comforting to be able to stay in contact with some former writers of Bubblews. I will never stop writing. It's always been my nature.

There should be some new type of format I agree. And if things keep going like they are I am not very encouraged I have to admit. I am glad you have always been supportive of me Vincent. You led me out of Yahoo! C N and into the land of bubbles. Things were going well for a while until the big bad Panda 4.0 algorythm. As of October 1, 2015 Google unrolled the latest update of Panda to version 4.2 and that was half a year ago.
