A Media "Duh" Moment in the News

When life comes at you fast and furious, you can act befuddled. This can happen to anyone. Well the other day, a logging accident happened in our county that produced tragic results. News media "hop" on accidents, attempting to be the first to release som

My FAVORITE Day of the Year - March 1st

Ah, when I was young. I loved each of the four seasons. I loved Spring because of the beautiful, long days, the breezes, the freshness of the Spring air. I enjoyed Summer, because I didn't have to wear a jacket or a sweater and I could wear short sleeves

Out of the Mouth of Babes - My Grandson

Before I begin, let me point out the original usage of those words... Although Jesus quoted them to the hypocritical religious leaders of his day, the words were taken from Psalm 8:2. Those hypocrites were denouncing the young ones at the cleansing of the

How Do You Choose New Recipes to Try?

How do you go about deciding what new recipes you will try? Probably some will choose a photo in a magazine. Certainly a photo provides instant appeal or repulsion, but does an image present an accurate portrayal of what a dish will taste like? Although c

Intelligence: It's All Relative

A friend and I are considered fairly sharp, mentally. However, we personally agree it is more a matter of memory than of intelligence. If you can recall endless tidbits of information, you have a better chance of putting them together and coming up with an

Are Paid Tweets Spam?

Do you receive statements to your email account saying So-and-So tweeted? Of course, these are intended to act as suggestions you read that particular tweet. While we might call this "promotion", is it not also paying to have spams sent to the people? Is t

Romancing the African Violet

A newly discovered friend learned I have a measure of expertise in cultivating (and enjoying!) African Violets. In fact, I've grown hundreds of them. So my friend wanted to know about her violets. On talking with her, I learned she suffers from "all of th

Ad Blocker or No Ad Blocker - THAT is the Question

I write. I depend upon ads for a small (shall we say) pecuniary emolument. That emolument is provided by advertising. I get paid for "valid" (whatever that is) advertisement visitations. So I don't like ad blockers on that account. For the longest time, I

A Name is a Funny Thing - You Can Learn A Lot from a Name

Over the years, I've come to realize the value of a name. We are frequently identified by a number. A name is personal, at least to a degree. To a degree, I say, because, to illustrate, how many Bills are there in a country, a state, even just a town? You

Incident While Purchasing a Sympathy Card

Well my wife informed me someone she knew lost his mother the other day and she wanted to show the fellow and his father that she was sorry by giving them a home baked pumpkin pie and a cobbler. Included with those things was to be a sympathy card. So she

Hey I see you have made your Facebook wall all about your website. Q S . That is a good way to let people know what you are all about. I like it. I had to send a friend request because I apparently have fallen off your radar lately. I hope you accept my friend request.

If you used to write at Persona Paper and have left, do you feel the occasional urge to stop back and see what gives now? Why not pen a piece while you're here? It's not all that hard to do. The articles don't have to be of novel length... Persona Paper presents interesting possibilities...

Good day to you

I agree. I almost feel like the last man standing. I will begin fresh at HubPages and just a little bit at myLot. Meantime I will be available via email and will be reading more of your articles at Querky Science and Decoded Science. Maybe one day a new site will exist that pays and that provides some level of good writers. myLot is not a serious writing site but I find it comforting to be able to stay in contact with some former writers of Bubblews. I will never stop writing. It's always been my nature.

There should be some new type of format I agree. And if things keep going like they are I am not very encouraged I have to admit. I am glad you have always been supportive of me Vincent. You led me out of Yahoo! C N and into the land of bubbles. Things were going well for a while until the big bad Panda 4.0 algorythm. As of October 1, 2015 Google unrolled the latest update of Panda to version 4.2 and that was half a year ago.http://searchengineland.com/google-panda-4-2-is-still-rolling-out-232095
