The EV Saga
There has been plenty of drama at EliteVisitors in the past 24 hours with one of the admins allegedly running away with all the money. (Some might roll eyes here). I was not very active there so personally I have not been affected much in terms of money but it is still a huge disappointment to see writing sites playing fast and loose with people’s trust and emotions. But what has really surprising for me is, how many people on that site are still willing to trust the remaining admins and vowing to remain dedicated members of the new site BestWriters.net. Is this stupidity? I am curious to know what is your plan and opinion regarding the whole thing.
I was a member of EV and plan on remaining with BestWriters.net

I was a member of Elite Visitors and I have checked out Bestwriters.net. There seem to be something not right about best writers to me before Elite even went under. I will not join a site that give me a bad feeling before I even join.

I would only join a site that has been around for a certain period of time. One really takes a chance on any site these days.

I'm not a member of EV, and I probably won't join anytime soon. However, I'm not going to down the other admins for trying to keep the website going and trying to earn back the trust of the writers. It was ONE guy who stole the money, and karma will certainly catch up to him. >:(

Never heard of it unti recently,think i joined but never went back. Read some comments today and some are so faithful! Hope they are not misguided.

OK another one to look at for my research. I am just glad I never got around to writing anything there. There are very few trustworthy sites it seems.

I'm very torn. In the last few months I've lost money at Bubblews, CGP and now EV, and I'm starting to wonder whether I should bother with any sites of the type again. I'd probably be better advised to write more for HubPages instead, but I struggle to come up with ideas for the kind of articles suited to that site and earn very little there.

It seems the whole thing is just transferred to a new domain and AdSense account. It looks very amateurish. If you were a member of EV then you are already a member of best writer.net and your posts are there. Seems they had everything backed up.

I am not one of its writers. Sometimes it is hard to get away with your home that betrayed you.... because of the members that you have learned to be with and read their post every week and interact with them. God bless.

That's terrible! Were the other admins honest about what had happened on the site ? I had never heard of the site until today

Like you, I hadn't spent an enormous amount of time there. At this point, I will probably just check in every once in a while, to see if things got any better. Not really wanting to get burned again.

I had not written much there but I did lose some money. However, I was impressed with how they handled things with telling us what was happening and I am impressed with the new site.

I was not a member of EV but I did chat with Rex Truelove on FB about WE and the whole saga of what happened over at EV. He was very forthcoming about what happened and answered all questions put to him in an open discussion on a FB group. I am going to check WE out but I am going to be very cautious.
