What do you drive?

My husband and I each have a car and I hate driving his as I feel like it is too big for me to reach the pedals etc. He is not even insured on mine as he hates driving it as it is small. When we go to the States we always hire small SUVs and as they are automatic, the roads are big and the parking spaces also big I don't mind driving them. In the UK they would be far too big to fit in some parking places. I have never driven a truck or large van and I have never ridden a motor bike and have no desire to either. In time we plan to go down to one car so we will have to compromise in size then. I know who will win!!

I didn't know whether to count my Jeep Grand Cherokee as a small or large SUV. My husband has a VW Jetta and it's way too small for me. I feel safer in a larger vehicle.

At the moment, I don't have a driver's license or a car, neither does my husband. But we're both hoping to get our license soon.

At the moment we drive a van, which was our second vehicle, but hubby got rear-ended last September and it totalled out Subaru Forester :(

I drive a wee clio which I think is a small car, my mother says I need to be careful because the car is not as small as I think it is. I thought she was a bit mad to be honest but earlier today I was turning into my street to park when I came across a car trying to get out of a space, I let her out with the intention of taking the space, only I couldn't get into it so either I am not as good at parking as I thought, or the car is bigger than I thought - yes its the car thing lol I am a wonderful driver of course!

I drive a Nissan Micra about the same size as your Clio

Just by reading what people drive I can tell if they are from the US or the UK

Public transport for now until I buy a car

I hope you both pass your tets and get on the road if you want to of course

I think you would appreciate a smaller car if you lived in the UK as our roads are so much smaller

I would drive any car or van if I had too as well but I prefer my little car

I am one of the few who doesn't drive. I am actually terrible at identifying car names so can't be absolutely certain what type our family car is. How embarrasing!

I could not imagine not being able to drive and being without a car where we live as there is no pubic transport!

We have a largeish family car I wouldn't want anything bigger I don't like driving anyway but a big car would be a nightmare for me

The parking spaces are smaller there? I think that I need to mention that to my boyfriend, since he keeps thinking about making a move to the UK.

I drive a Volvo Cross Country Wagon. I have to haul a lot of books in my business, and this does the job. It's not as good for this as my Plymouth Voyager was, but we drove that for 300,000 miles before it died.

We have a Shogun and need it where we live. Before this we had a double cab pickup that I loved but it was no good for transporting 3 dogs.

My car is actually mid-size vehicle and I really like it. It's a hybrid and gets great gas mileage.

My husband and I drive a small sedan, although we've driven bigger vehicles than the one we have! lol
