What Will You Do After Squidoo?

I know quite a few people from both Persona Paper and Bubblews who were also Squidoo lensmasters, and I was wondering what most of them plan to do now that Squidoo is about to be Squidon't. I haven't decided yet what I will do with my lenses. I am not a salesperson. In a year, all I ever made at Squidoo was five dollars. I don't think I want to start over learning all the processes and rules at another revenue sharing site. I would much rather be blogging on my own sites, and on Persona Papers and Bubblews. What are your plans?

Transfer your lenses to HubPages and hope for the best.

I already have some content at HubPages and I have made 10 times as much money there as on Squidoo. HubPages is not much different from Squidoo in terms of length of articles and quality and the means of writing a hub is easy to pick up. The way of interacting with people is MUCH better, not quite as good as here at PP but pretty good.

I hope this poll is working. So far it hasn't recorded my vote. I think HubPages is a great site and unless you depend on a lot of affiliate selling, good content lenses will likely earn more than on Squidoo. Mine will take some adapting, and I'll have to move some to my own sites. Some I will let transfer. Wish it didn't involve having two HubPages accounts, but that's the breaks. I'm really kind of glad I didn't have to make the decision to leave Squidoo after all these years.

Like you, I am not a salesperson but I will happily try HubPages. I already have an account there but haven't written anything yet - that may be about to change! I have taken two of my lenses off of Squidoo and will wait until they deregister before I post them elsewhere.

I was merrily redeeming at Chatabout about once every 7-10 days with little effort until I started having Java issues that interfered with Radio Loyalty that I'm still trying to resolve. Then the last time I tried to redeem with, suddenly everything costs twice as many points. It's on the back burner for now and I'm only making a few cents a day. But 5 or 10 cents is better than nothing. :)

Most of my lenses can be adapted for elsewhere where they would be much more suited. I did like the way they looked on Squidoo, though. I have two I might transfer, but I'm not sure yet.

I'll be with Bubblews as long as they pay me, but what, how, and how much I write has drastically changed after having so much of my archives trashed by the "upgrade". The new photo system is totally unsuitable for anything but a background image and unsuitable for any of my photo posts.

I have two lenses that I might transfer, but I really don't have time to deal with it now with so many priorities ahead of them. I figured that if I decided to try HubPages, I could always sign up later.

That sounds encouraging. It's definitely worth keeping in mind.

I have saved everyone of them as a web archive so that they will look just as they do now. I'll never be able to get that look again on another site, and I want to preserve the masterpieces as they deserve to be seen.

I saved them as a webpage, too. That's one lesson I learned too late from a certain other website disaster. And Squidoo was indeed a visually appealing platform.

I plan to transfer everything to HugPages and then will maybe create some more hubs, but a lot more content will be added to my own sites and then articles to PP in the future.

Some people say tha tthey make more on Hubpages than Squidoo, others say the opposite.
I guess everyone just needs to check things out for themselves.
I think the best thing is for most people to transfer their content across. That keeps it alive (hopefully) and you then have time to see how your lenses perform as hubs, and to decide what to do with them in the future.

I haven't tried squidoo. I have heard about it though.
