So glad to be here...

I write at other sites. That is probably not a surprise. I imagine many of you folks here at Persona write at other sites. Maybe it's the eggs in one basket thing. Maybe it's just a need to be heard, somewhere, anywhere, everywhere!

I tend to keep my writing informational at the other site. I've been there almost a year and I've managed to avoid the Good Morning post syndrome. To be honest, I'm jealous of those that can make that kind of post work. I see them bringing in as much and sometimes more cash then I manage with my carefully researched work.

I came here thinking maybe this could be my "blog" outlet. Seems my timing is bad because I read where Persona is going to start splitting the posts and label them informational or blog posts with blog posts getting less of the ad revenue.

Not sure what to think about that.

Hello, McGray! I'm new at the site, too, and I also write at other sites. I know it's going to split the kind of articles I write, but it's always interesting to meet new people and learn what kind of community PP has here. So far, it seems fun and the people are involved. I've heard of them splitting the categories, but I haven't heard of personal posts getting lower rates. It would be too bad because a lot of the writers here write great blog-like or personal posts :(.

I tend to write about stuff the no one cares about but it brings in traffic once it is picked up by search engines.

I don't know what to think about splitting the bubbles into theses two categories either. It looks like one kind of bubble is going to be valued over another and so we see that the subjective has more value than the objective. I have been thinking to start my own website, because no one is doing it right. LOL

You pay your money and you take your choice. Informational posts take longer to research and write and therefore (in my view) should be compensated at an increased rate.

Where does it read that the revenue for personal posts was going to be lower? Hadn't seen that one yet.....

I rather wish the posts would not be split either, but I imagine we'll still get something for blog type posts. Unfortunately, I tend to miss them up in one post.
