After picture of my daughters hair

I posted a photo of my ten year old daughters Afro hair earlier before i had the chance to comb it, well now Ive finally finished it so Ive posted the after picture.

Over all it took about 3 hours because it was so naughty and she moaned the whole ti,e about back ache, neck ache and saying i had burned her head with the straighteners when i hadn't.

We had breaks for lunch and dinner and i did the hair in sections through out the day.

the picture has been taken by me, astraldreamer the picture has been taken by me, astraldreamer

She is pleased with it now and is smiling again.

if i could afford it i would take her to the hairdressers each week.

for her age and amount of hair she has though she washed it really good.

My son has a head full of bright red curls. They can be tamed but it takes work. My 16-year-old daughter has hair a lot like your daughter's. She flat irons it nearly every day.

mstina and &theresawiza , trust me its a hard job lol, she hates me combing it and at age ten always tries to do it herself but manages to get it even more knottier, i think when she is older i will take her to a hairdressers and get them to relax it.

Years ago, when my 22 year old daughter was a little girl, my stylist told me not to put any chemicals in her hair until after puberty. I see so many moms and dads relaxing their kids' hair when they are too young and they mess their hair up for life. She'll appreciate the work you put into keeping her hair looking nice when she grows up and it is manageable without chemicals.

mstina , yes my cousin who is a hair dresser tells me the same thing, i usually hot brush her hair once or twice a week and straigten it once a week, i cant comb it otherwise
