Persona Paper's Best Features

Well after being here for almost two months, I came up with a list of what in my opinion are the most relevant features about Persona Paper , in no particular order:

1. Availability - The site is up almost 100% of the time, and I have never encountered access errors in the period I have been a member.

2. Communication - The site Admins ( MaeLou and elitecodex ) are doing a terrific job in communicating with its members constantly, there is always a message or post previous to any site upgrade/change, when issues arise they are quick to respond to inquiries or to clarify doubts from members.

3. Spam Free - Another great job being done by the Admins is keeping the site spam free, which is remarkable as many of you can tell can become a real pain when it is timely stopped.

4. Text formatting - Users can take advantage of this feature by highlighting text, emphasizing certain parts of the post, etc. I think the visual aspect certainly makes for a better readers experience.

Many colors to choose from , Different font sizes and more allow you to create an eye catching post .

5. Multiple Images - Adding several images to the posts also enhances the articles visually and makes them more enjoyable, plus photographers amongst us have the chance of sharing their beautiful work in a single post.

Here is a great example by AngelSharum

6. Users - Last but not least its Users, I have found great people at Persona Paper, besides some other writers I knew from other similar site. The atmosphere is always good, with a lot expertise and talent. Is this people that will take advantage of the features listed above and make this site a success.

Finally, I am aware the site is not perfect, and it still in its growing stages, but all these features make me feel comfortable being part of this community, and hopeful the exchange rate will go up soon.

Manual user permissions and rich text are great attributes. AWS is a premier host.

Nice list and thanks for including my photo article in your post. Those dragonflies seem to be popular. :)

I agree on all counts! This site has the best sense of community and responsiveness of the management of any I've ever been on. I wish very much for it to succeed.

Scorpie , thanks for your comment, I did not know about AWS until you mentioned, thank you!

AngelSharum No problem, actually those are nice pictures and a good example of a multiple images post, besides it was fresh in my memory emoticon :winking:

I've been her almost a week, and I couldn't ask for a better writing environment. The editor is a very big plus for me. The one at the other site was one of my biggest frustrations there. I don't think the owners of that site are writers. They might write something occasionally, but no real writer would design a site where it's so hard to look intelligent in writing. The owners of this site get that.

Agreed on every single point! This site is in many ways a smaller version of what Bubblews should have been, if they'd started listening to their users a year or more ago. I know some people find these comparisons annoying, but what I'm saying is that elitecodex and MaeLou (and ashley , when he was still running the site) have made a lot of the decisions Bubblews turned away from. While that may have helped Bubblews to build a much bigger and more lucrative site, it is also one with enormous problems that would have been more easily prevented than undone.

Persona Paper has a fantastic history of seeking and really listening to use input. It may be small still, but it will grow in a healthy direction without having to be massively pruned back all the time. It is good seed, planted in fertile soil, and growing stronger each day that passes.

BarbRad Absolutely, there is big difference in the environment. It is my hope this site continues growing by attracting all those great writers that feel trapped everywhere else.

Thanks so much Ruby3881 for your comment. That's why I value communication highly, really listening to the users is crucial for the community. I share your view regarding the strong growth Persona Paper will have.

I like the communication too. I like how the members are being informed of what's happening, what updates will take place, etc. And I like how we're also being asked for our opinions and feedback. I'm still pretty new here but, so far, I haven't seen any spam and I haven't had any problems logging on to the site, both of which are great.

FreyaYuki All those things you described, it's what gives Persona Paper a true sense of community.
