Street Art

I took this photo while my husband and I were walking around Chattanooga. We were cutting through an alley to go to one of the parks. I loved the look of the street art on the brick.

I think the photo looks like an art print. I didn't do anything to it, it just came out that way. I printed on out and I might hang in on my kitchen wall. I have to either buy or get my husband to make a frame for it first. I really need to get it done because we don't have any art on the wall in the kitchen yet.

I love how you can sometimes take a photo and have it look more like art than a photograph. At least this one does to me anyway. What do y'all think of it?

Brick? Could you elaborate. Looks quite artistic though.

I think the brickwork adds to the overall effect..

I like it. It is great when a scene presents itself.

I love it. There must be every shade of red in there. Bravo!

This is an excellent idea. I think there are sites online that can take photos and blow them up into poster size and larger. I like the mood of the art against the bricks and it's a cool way to give that brick feeling to your room. I'll keep this idea in mind.

The wall of the building was made of brick. That's what the artwork is glued onto.

AngelSharum wrote on July 30, 2014, 9:48 PM

It does. I believe that's why it looks like an art print to me.

There are sites online to do that. I actually have it for sale on Fineartamerica. They make it all different sizes. I printed mine out here locally though.

I agree. The image has a certain charm because of the brick. It wouldn't look as good without it.

Nope. just on a regular concrete wall it wouldn't look like much.

Fathead is one of the sites that can take a photo and size it up. There are many others. Of course, CVS and other stores do the same. I love your idea. Next time instead of looking at just the art, I'll look at the background and take it as part of the picture. I think you're onto something unique with this idea.

posterprint does this also. I'm not sure if this sites approves of referring out to websites. But do a dot com search for these and also google will bring up others if you put in the keywords; photo to poster. Sorry for breaking up this post.

I've never heard of either of those sites. Thanks for telling me about them. It is always good to look at the background when taking photos. Sometimes the background makes the whole shot.

Art, within a photograph, looking like a print. Hmm, INCEPTION! Very nice.
