Tell Me It Isn't So
Have you ever run across a "news"article with a title that you hope is satire? It happens to me all the time. This time it's an article from vice.com entitled Mississippi Police Want to Arrest the Satanists Who Turn Dead People Gay.
As always with outrageous articles, I set about tracking it back to its source. The first step was a Huffingtom Post article, which gave me hope that it really was satire. Then, in the article, Lucien Greaves, Officiant Of Satanic Temple's Anti-Westboro 'Pink Mass,' Charged With Desecration Of Grave , I saw another link, this time to a non-satire site, which turned out to be WTOK , a local news station in Meridian, Mississippi.
WTOK's article, MPD Expects to File Charges in Cemetery Trespassing states that the cemetary owners are, indeed, pressing trespassing charges on the group of Satanists who performed the "pink mass" which they claim turns the dead gay.
Sounds like a bunch of hooey to me, but I'm a professional skeptic
