4 Reasons Why You Shouldn't Use A Free Domain Or Free Subdomain

When it comes to domain registration you may consider using a free domain or a free subdomain. Is it a good idea? Read the following 5 reasons why using a free domain or free subdomain is not a good idea.

  1. When you use a free domain or free subdomain it doesn't really belong to you and the domain provider can always take it away from you.
  2. A free domain or subdomain may be sufficient for private purposes but if you want to create a website for business you should buy a domain. That will look professional.
  3. The monetization of your website may be limited because there may be advertisers who would reject you as they prefer a Top Level Domains like instead of or
  4. A free domain or subdomain may be considered as spammy and not very trustworthy. When you look at the sites of successful Bloggers or Online Entrepreneurs you may hardly find a site that has a free domain or subdomain.

My tip: You may use a free domain or subdomain if you are just blogging for fun. If you want to use your website or blog for business purposes you should definitely purchase a domain.
