Keeping My Mind Off My Cancer Phone Call

There are times when you really need family close by and they can't be. I would love to have my sister with me at the moment while I wait for my biopsy to come in but she lives in a different country. It's kind of scary sitting here waiting for the phone to ring. The biopsy was done last Friday and it's been a horribly long week. I look at the spot every day wondering what it is supposed to look like and what I'm going to hear when the phone rings. If nothing else, being able to write about it keeps me busy and I have a way to get the word out at the same time.

There was a time when we all spent our summer days laying in the sun and trying for the most gorgeous tan possible... Look what it go me. I'm sitting here waiting to hear if I have skin cancer. So if any of you are considering going outside, be sure to apply a healthy dollop of sunblock and what ever you do... don't even think about tanning. I know that we used to think that it was healthy, but it's far from it. I wouldn't wish this on anyone!

Thanks for listening :) It helped a lot to think that I might have saved someone from being stupid like I was!

I hope it is not cancer. I know how you feel though. A couple months ago I had three moles removed and biopsied. One was fine but the other two were pre-cancerous. I have to go back in September and she said she'll probably take two more then. I'm hoping they are fine. The funny thing is, all of them are in places that NEVER get sun, plus I had never even had a sunburn until last month. I'm 41 years old! It doesn't always taking sunburns. I think some people just have the cells already. Good luck!
