My Little Girl is Growing Up
Well I guess it was bound to happen eventually. My little girl is growing up and starting to spread her wings to fly. Now when I say little I mean my 15 year old who is bigger than me at this point. But if you are a parent then I'm pretty sure that you are aware why she is and always will be my little girl.
About a month ago she asked our permission to go out and look for a part time job. My husband and I thought thought long and hard about this and decided that yes she is mature enough to handle a job and school so we let her go for it. Yesterday McDonalds restaurant called requesting an interview. She goes on Friday so I guess we will see how this goes.
Oh I'm aware that kids will grow up eventually but this one seemed to have just snuck up on me. Hopefully she gets the job but if not, she's mature enough to know that something else will eventually come along.

it is the joy of every parent to see their kids grow to be dependent but sad when they leave to work away from the parents

I feel you on this. Just the other day, I was talking to my oldest daughter when suddenly, I realized, she was a young, grown woman.

It is sad to see her grow up but it's also quite nice to see the type of person she is growing into.
