Morning Coffee

Call me a sucker, but I just have to have it. My morning coffee. It is one of the very first things I do in the morning when I get up is to head for the kitchen, and get that pot of coffee brewing. How do I like mine? Straight up. Black. No sugar, no cream, no nothing. Just black coffee in my cup for me. I always make a full pot. 12 cups, and five tablespoon scoops of coffee. I need no fancy coffee. No expensive Starbucks grounds, or Dunkin' Donuts grounds. On occasion I may have a special cup though. I might make a pot of Eight O'clock coffee or something like that. I may even get the whole beans and grind them myself. But overall when it comes to my morning coffee, I can drink the generic stuff from Walmart, or even something like Maxwell House or Folgers.

I like my coffee. But I am not picky. I am also thrifty, even when it comes to my morning coffee.

Unlike my sister and brother-in-law I am not a coffee snob. I need no fancy pot, no fancy grounds, and unlike them as well, I rarely if ever fork out my hard-earned cash for a cup of Joe at Starbucks. They spend a lot of money on their coffee. I also only drink coffee in the morning. Never in the afternoon. And certainly never at night. But they will drink coffee any time of the day.

For me I am happy with just my morning coffee. I'll have several cups before I call it quits for the day. But no day gets started without it.

well I'm a coffee addict as what they call me, I consumed 5 cups a day and always help me to let my mind active. It does'nt matter anytime of the day as long as I have my cup with me. Have a great day ahead dear. emoticon

lol. Hey, sometimes you've got to do what you've got to do. :)

I definitely must say my brain is mud until that first sip of coffee hits the throat. What can I say?

I could never get used to the taste of coffee, I am a big tea drinker.

Yes, it's the simple pleasures in life like a good cup of coffee. Do you have a favorite brand?

AdrienneJenkins wrote on July 22, 2014, 10:02 AM

To clarify. If the coffee gods or Santa wanted to know which of the brands you mentioned, which would be your cup of choice. Your ultimate cup of coffee?

You are I on the same boat with tastes. I never could get used to tea. :)

Hmm. Not sure actually. I am known to drink from generic to high end. I do like some of the independent coffee roasters. We had one which was big in the Milwaukee metro area in Wisconsin which was Alterra, but after a dispute with Nestle after selling name rights, they changed their name to Collectivo.

But a cup of tea is so much more milder than coffee and doesn't have that harsh taste!

I wouldn't mind paying for a cup of Starbuck's coffee. I DO love the convenience. If only they knew how to make coffee. Doing it right is just too much effort for the members of the general public, I guess.

The CEO himself said once they make a crappy cup of coffee. Their business is built on the experience. Not the coffee. Thusly, I don't buy their coffee. :)

I really enjoy my first cup of coffee. It's the best time of the day

Porwest the experience isn't so hot, either.
