My baby cat Tiger

This is my 2 year old cat tiger, he has been through a lot in his short life.

I had been sitting in the garden in the sun when a neighbor from across the road came over with these tiny little kittens in a cat carrier asking if anyone wanted one.

Now i already had a 4 year old domestic black cat called jasper, i didn't really want another cat, i didn't really think i could afford it, but my dad was here and he really just fell in love with one of them, a little Bengal.

So i agreed to have him, rushed into town to buy the essentials for him, well actually we were told that it was a girl so we took the neighbours word for it, we named the cat princess.

He quickly settled in and we took him to the vets for his first lot of injections, it was there we found out that actually princess was a boy, so we promptly changed the name to tiger.

We also found out that tiger wasn't actually 8 weeks like we were told he was more like 5 - 6 weeks, too young to be away from his mother.

Back at home he would sit and suck on his tail and curl up purring loudly sat one one of our laps, he did this for comfort til he was about 6 months old.

My older cat jasper hated tiger for a bit, tiger being the naughty little Bengal cat that he is would jump on jasper's back or bite his tail and then jasper with hiss, spit and whack him with his paw.

I can look back and laugh now, but at the time i did worry a lot , now they are the best of friends.

About a year ago poor tiger was hit by a car, he came in dragging his leg behind him , crying loudly in pain, the vet said his hip was out of joined so they messaged it back in and told me i had to keep him in a tiny cage so that he couldn't move around much.

He would have to be in the cage for around 5 weeks to give chance for his hip to get better and stronger. Boy did he hate that cage, so did jasper.

Three days after being in the cage though , i was cooking in the kitchen when he started to howl loudly again, took him back to the vets and they said his hip had come out again and that he would need a operation.

The operation went well and he had to endure wearing a collar for weeks after, it knocked his confidence a lot and he was scared to go outside for a while but now he is ok,

his cheeky Bengal cat attitude has come back.
