10-10-10 A Life Transforming Idea by Suzy Welch

Suzy Welch is the wife of former GE CEO Jack Welch. But she's no slouch either. A highly successful work-life coach and writer, Suzy is also a New York Times bestselling author.

In 10-10-10: An Operating Principle for LIfe, Welch offers her solution for making better decisions that will put a stop to haphazard decision making that will help bring clarity in your life. It will relieve the guilt you sometimes feel when you think you've made the wrong decision.

It's sound advice because it evaluates the consequences of making a decision based on how it might impact your life in the next 10 minutes, 10 months and 10 years keeping in mind your values to help you create the kind of life you'd like to lead and become the person you want to be.

In the end, a solution will emerge out of the muck that she admits will only come about when you're ready to face the work needed to look at all the scenarios. But in the end you will feel a sense of liberation with sound decision making.

Here's an interview with Kathie and Hoda where she asks...

"What is the Life I Want to Create For Myself?"

This sounds like a very good read for where I am in my life right now.

Sounds intriguing! I'm not sure I could stick to a system, but that right there is the problem, isn't it!

It sounds easy -- to weigh the choices and make a decision ---but it's actually incredibly difficult to shut out the outside noises and figure out what will happen with each choice. I'm not as good at is as I would like to be.
