Health Benefits of celery

I must admit that I am not a fan of celery. Normally I am rarely eating or cooking celery. However last night I was tempted to buy celery in the grocery store and I planned to cook it.

But right after I arrived at home, I surfed the internet. I was wondering what are the health benefits of celery? I knew nothing other than believe that celery is good for our health, because it is one of the vegetables that has vitamins and fiber.

This is the summary of my findings (from internet) that I would like to share with you who also do not know the health benefits of celery:

Celery is good to lower your cholesterol and blood pressure. It contains anti-cancer properties. There are some minerals and essential oils in celery that can act as a stress-relief. If you want to lose weight, celery is a good choice as it is one of low calories foods. Celery can reduce inflammation, so eat more celery if you have acne or lung infection. It is rich in vitamin A, very good for your eyes. And last but not least, of course celery is good to help people with constipation.

OK, now I am going to find a good recipe to cook my celery :)

We all in our house love celery. I am not a great cook, but my wife is - In case we do not get celery we get coriander leaves. Those also have great smell.

I'm not a big fan of celery, either. Some people like it with peanut butter, but I never liked it. I only use it when I am making soup or stews. You have got to have celery in soup, no question about it. It also has some anti-cancer effects. If you need fiber in your diet, then celery is a great choice!
I think I will write about what I know of celery.
