A Bicycle Ride Around Hialeah, Florida at Night
Just a few hours ago, I rode my bicycle throughout Hialeah, Florida to enjoy the nighttime breeze. Since it was late at night, I made sure to be careful of traffic. It is amazing how peaceful and quiet it was in the residential areas until I hit West 49th Street (NW 103rd street). Here, it was bumper-to-bumper traffic with cars honking and going in and out of shopping plazas. It was especially busy on Palm Spring Mile, the major shopping area of Hialeah. It was so bad that I had to bike on the sidewalks and through numerous parking lots. What I hated about this was that I had to be extra cautious of other bikers and pedestrians on the sidewalks and cars coming in and out of the parking lots. After biking along West 49th Street, I went down West 12th Avenue which was a little calmer. From West 12th Avenue, I went through different side streets until I hit Palm Avenue. Palm Avenue was a little busy, but as I passed the Metrorail on East 25th Street (NW 79th Street), the traffic dissipated, and the streets were quiet. From Palm Avenue, I went through more side streets until I got home. Bicycling in Hialeah at night is "quite an experience."
