Total Knee Replacement

I am getting very nervous about Monday. I have my first appointment with my new orthopaedic surgeon.

The one that I was seeing does not do total knee replacements. He's been injecting my left knee with steroids and said I cannot have any more, the spoiled sport, lol, just kidding, he was a great doctor.

So I go on Monday morning. And even though I want to have the knee surgery, I am kind of freaking out about it.

I had an arthroscope surgery before, but this will be more intense, I am sure.

But everyone that I have talked to, who has had the surgery, says they are much better for having it.

The arthroscopy was outpatient, I hear I will be hospitalized for this one.

My biggest concern is that I live alone now. My kids are in Ohio, and my sister maryccc works until five.

I hope I am eligible for home health, I really do not want to go to a nursing home, who knows what kind of infection I might pick up?

So I am ready for my bionic parts, I guess....

I have heard many people talk about having knee replacement done... all was positive. Here's wishing you all positive with yours. I am currently having injections in my knees from old injuries. My doctor wants to inject the gel into both.... I understand that's a good thing. I'm considering it. :))))) :)

You would just be fine, you would see.
Some Knee Surgeons I met in Italy in my last duty tour to that Country do it as a day procedure
Keep up your faith and you would have the op done without must fuss
good luck

By day procedure, do you mean outpatient?
They cannot do that for total knee, it is more invasive than arthrocopy, which is probably what you are thinking of.

You will feel so much better after this surgery. I would give anything to be off my feet for a while!

I don't think you want to get off your feet this way.
