Thowback Thursday Photo for Today

Okay, so I logged in and thought, "Hey, where is everybody?? I don't see any posts or notifications!"

Then I happened to think, "Hmm...maybe everyone is doing like me and waiting for someone else to go first!"

Well, I decided to go first then and share a photo for a "Throwback Thursday" photo of the day.

This is when my son and daughter were respectively, ages 2 and 4 and the photo is in front of an oak tree we planted that has a little plaque with my son's name on it.

Has anyone else ever heard of planting trees dedicated to a person? This was something that my ex in-laws started. Everyone in the family had a tree. Heck, I think I even had a tree! But I think my tree was kind of sickly and just curled up and died or something... So much for my legacy!

Anyway, when my kids were this age, they got along splendidly! It wasn't until they got a little older that my daughter developed her feisty little attitude and they fought like cats and dogs, or perhaps--brother and sister! LOL!

Since they are grown, they are very close and no one had better dare say a foul word about the other one. I am proud of my kids, so just wanted to share!

Hope everyone has a festive and happy 4th of July spent with friends and family!!

&AbbyG Yes, I had heard of it. They had one planted for every member of the family, I guess it was okay. I had just never heard of it before!

Everyone in grade one gets a tree on Arbour day. So we all had our tree as we were growing up.
