Little Moments That Mothers Live For!

Life alone has been a difficult adjustment for me since my kids grew up and moved away. I am divorced and in my forties. I see the kids, my son and daughter on occasion but it is not the same as having them home. I have a nine month old grandson and that is one ray of sunshine in my life!
Anyway, so sometimes I feel quite alone. Yes, I have friends, a job...but still...sometimes things seem lonely and dark.
I was feeling just this way when a few days ago I received a message from my daughter. She said that she has been missing me a lot and wants me to take a day off work to spend with her and take me to see her new apartment. She said, "don't think I ever don't love you or need you because I always will..."
That brought a tear to my eye and yes...these are the little things mothers live for! So, I am looking forward to this day spent with my daughter very soon.
I hope every one is having a great week so far!

How SWEET and OMGosh that baby is already grown UP, lol. I remember at the other place, you rushin' off for him to be born. Seems like yesterday ;) Well, enjoy your day with your daughter, and all the days before and after, too :)

I dread the day that my kids grow up and get their own places, although my son says he is never moving away from his momma, lol. I asked him if he didn't think he would ever want his own house and he told me he would but he was going to build it in my backyard so we would still be together, he could just go home at night and I couldn't tell him to clean his room! lol

There will certainly be days when we feel alone...part of life i guess, but hey, you do have a loving daughter who thinks about you. It will never be a joyride in this journey not ever; but we can be proud just by taking the ride
PS
You have friends here, we may be out of reach but I think it is insignificant. What's important is we get to see you everyday...hugs - PenFlavor.
