Why is it necessary to diversify your online income source?

Most of us here are online writers who work either full time or part time for earning as well as spending leisure time in doing something productive. Over the years there has been massive growth in this online writing industry. Several sites have come up which have provided scope for writers around the world to take up online writing or blogging as a career. But one thing must be kept in mind that stability in this field is a matter of question.

Even if a site is legitimate source of income it may dwindle over time because of many issues such as less yield of advertisement revenue and so on. Therefore to make your stay more secure and stable in the field of online writing or blogging it is very necessary to diversify the income source. If you can spend time wisely and meticulously in different sites and make a possible earning stream from all of them then you can survive in this field with ease.

I don’t mean it is an easy job to pursue a career as an online writer but at least you can continue even if one of your sources of income drops off. I have been concentrating on one site till recently when I realized that it wasn’t a wise decision for me. I think we should all make a wise decision and find sites that suits us, caters to our interest and gives us freedom of writing. Then we can make our own routine and allocate time to different sites then we can easily make our way. What do you think of this? Are you diversifying your income sources or concentrating on a particular site?

I do diversify my income streams but probably not the way you think - more along the lines of buying bonds and municipal bonds, CDs and Money Market accounts. This allows us to work only half a year and still not touch our principal money.

At first I was concentrated on Wordpress before I was Introduce to pp. I wish I would have know about this site before lol. I like to diversity my stream of online. It always a good way to keep money coming in from different business ventures that you're in instead of 1 source that generates income.

Online writing should never be your career. It should be just hobby that makes some money.
