Actions Against Coronavirus - Worst Case Scenario

When a tragic event occurs, responses may certainly be out of the ordinary. And this may be, not just on the part of individuals, but on the part of institutions.

There is not the shred of a doubt that Covid-19 is contagious. In fact, it almost adds new meaning to the word. And it is still gathering an increase of victims. The more there are, the more opportunities to spread. What can be done?

It could be allowed to run its course, though the numbers of deaths would rise staggeringly. Quarantine decidedly helps, the better the quarantine, the better it helps. Perhaps some countries that exercise strict quarantining will not fare so badly as those that have exceptional quality medical care, yet allow themselves to intermingle rather than exercise strict quarantining.

But so far, no one has mentioned a dire possibility within my hearing, anyway: Could the deaths and the dying become so bad individuals who come down with the disease will actually be executed, then their bodies burned?

Just a little less shocking a possibility: could some suggest the doing-away with quarantine, reasoning that it is mostly the elderly who die, and they are a financial burden to Society anyway? The reasoning could be: people die every day, you can't avoid death, so let the virus run its course.

I am not sure that execution would be needed. If you don't have critical care, then those who need such care to survive will not last long anyway. Bodies being burned is certainly a possibility. I think there is an underlying reason to all this panic. There was a financial crisis coming anyway and the bankers would have been blamed again. Now, there is something external to be blamed! I have read so many different theories, I feel like starting a group of short stories called the coronavirus chronicles, of STORIES about how this came about.

Why not? You might enjoy it. It might sell.

LOL. It also might get banned as part of the campaign against "disinformation", which some people might call banning free speech!

If you don't take yourself too seriously and write it as probable fiction, it might prove popular. With the realists and the conpiracy theorists, both.

Maybe you are right.
