Memory of Dad
My dad has been gone for three years, My mom nine years I was just thinking of a memory of my Dad when I went to see him at the nurse home. I would say hi to all of the other residents and he would ask me..Do you know them? I said no, I am being polite. Dad would say your not supposed talk to strangers. I said Dad I am not a little girl anymore. He said you are to me. Of course, that is a great memory for me. My Dad was always telling me not to talk to strangers, He was right in some ways but that's how you get to know people is by talking with people I miss you Dad. I hope you and mom are enjoying each other.

I talk to strangers too, though I would tell my grandchildren to be wary but as you get older, you learn more about how to interact safely with others. That's a great memory of your father.

Oddly, my dad outlived my mom. I say oddly, because my dad's family tended to die before 70, whereas my mom's family tended to die well into their 80s.

My dad was 81 when he died and my mom was 71, so my Dad lived another 10 years then mom

With your article, I also remember my Dad. He passed away February 26, 1999. It was 20 years already missing my Dad without us.
