One Door Closed, and Three More Opened.....

I've had several doors open since my weekly client on Zerys went out of business back in 2015 (which is when the door closed, as mentioned in the title). I wound up with clients on Zerys, who paid well and had enjoyable topics, but those are rare now (that entire website seems empty, at least on my end).
I still have clients on Textbroker. There's one who posts a ton of work weekly, another that posts a ton of work monthly, and then several writing teams who post often, one team being split into two and posting over 1,000 orders total per month, so that definitely helps. I even had a client send me a direct order of a very good price, twice. They're open to working with me again too, but I don't know when, or if, they still plan to.
However, I have my slow moments. Sometimes it's slow on my end, and sometimes it's slow on their end. So at one point, during a writing slump, I decided to finally learn about Fiverr. It took me a few months to get through the guide because I didn't wanna read it all in one setting lol, but I finally took the leap and posted my gig earlier this year.
I've done a few gigs here and there for temporary clients, but as of today, I have three weekly clients. I just "sealed the deal" with the third client I think. In total, it'll be 5-7 orders a week (with all three clients). In this is in addition to my Textbroker orders. It's going to keep me busy, but this could also be what I've need for a while, for both my finances and motivation.
However, I have decided not to take on anymore weekly clients on Fiverr. I'll have three as it is, on top of my Textbroker orders, so I need to make sure I don't overcommit. If a client needs like, one or two orders done, then that's different, but I'm not taking on anything weekly anymore. I need to make sure I meet ALL of my deadlines, have time for Textbroker and can still have a non-work life lol.
But still, I'm grateful for this opportunity, and I hope only good things will come of it. :) I hope you're all doing well. Take care! :)

I think I was on Textbroker once, briefly, though why I left, I don't recall.

Not overcommitting is a good idea! I need to learn that lesson or maybe I need to get others not to overcommit me!

I was one Fiverr for a while. Didn't do much business so I ceased!

Oooh. It's the main place I work, as I do a mixture of open and team orders. I've gotten direct orders, but not often at all.

You have to take care of yourself so you can get things done to the best of your ability. I've realized that staying up until 3am working on a longer order is not going to help me, or my clients, in the long run.

I promoted my gig on Twitter, I'm guessing that may have helped me. If you ever use it again, I hope you get a lot of business.

Congratulations to you. I tried to get on textbroker but if I remember well they did not welcome me. Oh well, what can you do. I tried other writing sites for pay but I do not like to write about products, reviews, blah stuff etc. So now I concentrate mostly on translating with a specialization in health care as I was a registered nurse in the past. So far, so good. Although I will never make enough to live on, I still enjoy it very much. Sorry about blabbing about me but still I am happy for you.
