Black and colors

The image that I am writing about for this article is the one that I posted as the image for the 'Election Day' article. This is a computer drawing from my grandnephew that he titled 'Black and Colors'. I like art and drawing from any age group and this drawing of his reminded me of Jackson Pollack and his work. The way my grandnephew chose his colors and the way he used the marker and I think he used the spray can at points. The colors that he used along with the black background is what made me think of a future Jackson Pollack and the kid is only in second grade. What are your thoughts when you see this piece of children's artwork?

I didn't think it was a piece of children's work. There are some adults that would create work like this. Children are all very creative and they don't have the limitations adults get imposed on them by life and other people's expectations. It's great to see them enjoying making something and being pleased with it.
