Halloween

What is Halloween? Is this day a holiday or what? Halloween or All Hallow's Eve is a pagan holiday where spirits are welcomed and witches and warlocks dread for we all know they do not like being made fun of this night. A time of spells and incantations that could change us in some way. Actually this is a holiday that is for kids and kids at heart to have fun dressing up and collecting candy. This is a night where a long time ago kids were the only ones that went trick or treating and older ones went to parties to celebrate a night of fright. I remember it was a night of tricks for the next morning you can see the results like soaped windows and scattered corn from those who went soaping and corning throughout the neighborhood. I almost forgot all the smashed pumpkins I saw scattered on the roads, which was kind of sad for I usually did a lot of work on mine. Halloween a time for kids to have fun. Happy Halloween!

Soaped windows!! Hallowe'en was never celebrated much in GB until a few years ago. In GB (England, Scotland and Wales) they are more likely to celebrate Guy Fawkes night.

I have heard of that day. Just a note: I have been told that I still have relatives in Wales and Scotland. If you get your windows soaped look on the bright side you can do wash your windows.

I should probably remain silent. But Halloween, from a scriptural perspective, is no day in the park for the kiddies.

You got that right but if the children are Christian they will be fine. Halloween the Night of the Dead in so many words. It is now November 1-All Saint's Day and they are resting and in a better place while at least most of the them.

Well, that's part of what I'm getting at. We differ in perspective on its being OK for Christians.
