Father's Day Dive

I will be getting things ready for our annual Father's Day dive. My son and I have been doing this Father's Day dive since 2012 and we look forward to it every year and this year is no different. We have been certified scuba divers since May of 2012 and started this tradition that year. We have dove many times and in many places since but we go back to the same place that we learned to dive. It's a local dive quarry here in northern Illinois, and we enjoy just getting in the water and doing some lunch and just having a relaxing day.

I have to get all my gear ready this week, need to replace the battery on my dive computer and make sure all my gear is ready to go. It wont take to long to do maybe an hour. I do have to get the dive tanks inspected but I have already set the appointment to get that done tomorrow night. It's an annual inspection that I forgot to get done over the winter. I get it done every year by the same guy and he thankfully was able to get me in this week.

We are really looking forward to it, we usually do our first dive around 10 am then we make some lunch and hang out a while and then do another dive around 1 pm then pack up and head back home where we will grab some dinner and call it a day. I love diving and enjoy any chance I get to dive, what makes the day even better is I get to spend it with my son. We get to hang out and talk all day, have some laughs and enjoy the outdoors with each other. I couldn't ask for a better Father's Day, doing something I love with the most important person in my life. Every once in a while life is just great.
