Photography Surprises: Logan and the Catmint

Meet Logan, the black cat who lived near my house in Paso Robles when this photo was taken. He liked to visit me while I worked in the garden. I used to enjoy his company as I worked, even though I knew he just wanted to raid my catmint.

On the day I took this photo, I was standing in front of this flower bed where the catmint lived in a big pot a few feet in front of where Logan had sneaked in the back way. I was trying to capture Logan's beautiful black coat and green eyes that contrasted so well with the greenery around him. I thought he was looking intently at the catmint. Instead, when I uploaded the photo, I saw what he was really looking at. Do you see it?

When we take a photo we can often be so focused on our subject, we don't see the whole picture. The camera tells the truth and helps us see what we might have missed when we only used our eyes.

Don't see the wood for the trees, that is the truth so often! It was easier to see when I opened the picture in a new tab.

I once watched a movie that I regretted having attended, but at the time it was a novelty in which a photographer took a photograph and in the distance, hard to see, a clue to a crime is barely detectable. So the photographer had to produce a "Blow Up".

I see it - and I hope he didn't eat it 'cos some of them are poisonous!

Photos never lie. Unless they are photo-shopped. LOL

It looks like some kind of little green monster. I have no clue as to what it is.

It would be great if we could click on our title photos to get the bigger picture. I see that my browser has a right click option to view image in my browser. Some photos are used for hyperlinks I think.

That cat is a beauty. Just like my Mon Kinny Kat. Hope he don't eat whatever it is and get a bad tummy ache. :)
