Drug Commercials Over Kill on Television

Drugs, aka medications, are being advertised in excess these days!
I mean, Give me a break! I have been seeing a flood of television advertisements that repeat 24/7 about this and that drug from everything from arthritis to zombie syndrome.
T his has got to stop! There is no need for this. The television shows I like to watch are ruined every day by repeat commercials for medications that makes me think the media is owned by big pharmacy. Am I the only one who feels this way? Or do you also share this sense of "Enough is enough and too much is way too much."
O ver kill is what I have to call it, because, I have seen enough of these repeat drug commercials to make me into someone who is " somewhat slightly dazed ", to take from some lyrics in a song by David Bowie.

Adverts were one of the reasons I gave up on T.V., many years ago. The advertisers must obtain financial gains or they wouldn't do it.

My favorite expression in drug ads is: "Ask YOUR doctor if $%^*())& is right for you!" Whoops! I meant to type in a name, not my feeling...

I hate these commercials and long to go back to the days when doctors and drug manufacturers and manufacturers of certain more personal products weren't allowed to advertise on TV. I am glad that the drug ads by law also have to mention the possible side effects. For me that negates the entire ad.

It completely negates the ad. If only the ones who bought the ads by going out to purchase those drugs took a few extra seconds to make an intelligent and educated decision before impulsively getting them and moreover, without first talking it over with their doctors.

Yea. And if your doctor has any sense, he or she will tell you to forget about it.

I am with you on that. But, I still tend to watch television but simply mute commercials in real time but if recorded, I fast forward to get past them.
