How Do YOU Use Facebook?

Facebook and other social media sites have grabbed the attention of nearly every facet of Society. It must be included among the most popular means of communication to date. Communication can be useful or harmful to both parties doing the communicating. How do YOU use your Facebook account (presuming you have one)?

I choose to protect my personal information (my more critical personal information), of course. What I use it for is to keep up with family and others of interest, and to inform the public who happen to visit. One of those topics, to be sure, concerns Bible knowledge. But other things interest me as well and can be informative to the visitor.

I love being of positive influence to those I meet. Consider this morning's posting to my Facebook site. See the image. Were you aware of the issue between Golden Rod and Ragweed?

Not having hay fever, I was not motivated to see the difference previously but it's always useful to be able to identify different plants.

I am not a sufferer either, Meg. I wonder if we aren't the exceptions to the rule?

Lol, maybe so. There seem to be more allergies around these days. I wonder why. We were encouraged to go outside and play at every opportunity and roamed far and wide.

My personal page is strictly personal, I need to be very careful with it with my job I have high security settings and make sure nothing on there could compromise my job, but I also have a business page and a group which are public. I use buy and sell sites from time to time as well but mostly I use it for keeping in touch with people I now live far away from and business.

I use my own FB in pretty much the same way as you do but I am a member of several groups and I use those to promote my work and the work of others which I also do on G+ and Twitter. I never post anything too personal.

I do know just thinking of that makes me get allergic reactions. Good that you make positive use of Facebook. I was once asked to follow the guy who actually created Facebook. I am not earning money there but use it mainly to share with friends and family and read some of their posts.

I did a series of Facebook Live and really have to get back to that. One reason was I was ministering to people in persecuted lands who could not directly say all they wanted and also to a variety of friends with various needs. Used right, Facebook is a useful evangelism tool. I also use it to keep in touch with distant friends and to talk about my books.
