Friday the 13th :An Urban Legend:

I checked the activities of my connection and saw what I was looking for—Friday the 13th posts.

We all have and for our part in the world, doing anything on this day may lead to accidents. Thus, my elders used to tell us when we were younger not to play outside.

Now that I am already old enough, this reminder is just a thing of the past. Just like other PP users are posting here, it is but just a number and a day, nothing more. Friday is usually associated with death and unluckiness while the number 13 is synonymous with it as well. A number related to the devil.

On a serious note, there is no harm on being cautious. This urban legend must have sprung from a certain event in the past. An eventful event that we should not just shrug away as who knows it might be true. Stay accident free guys!

Same applies to me. It is just a number and a day.

I think this legend came from something weird that happened on this day. Anyway I will be careful.

True, just a number and a day. And whatever may happen, we could not blame the numbers. :)

We should all be very careful not just on Friday the 13th bus as well as in all the days. :D Keep safe Lady Duck!

My understanding is that Friday the 13th superstitions relate not at all to the devil, but to the crucifixion of Jesus. There were thirteen people present as the Last Supper (Jesus and twelve apostles) and Jesus was hanged on the cross on a Friday. It is not so much a "bad luck" day, as a day to remember that sacrifice.
