Meet Rocco everyone!

HI, MY NAME is Rocco and I am the latest addition to a very loving family of four: mum, dad, Ruby and Rory. You all know my grandad - you call him Kasman but I know him as the only one in the family whose fingers I am allowed to chew.

I am just nine weeks old and not allowed out in public yet because I haven't had all my innoculations. My grandad took this photo of me on my patio steps. He had to lift me on and off that step 'cos I'm not very good at climbing stairs. A bit embarrassing really - everyone was laughing but I'll get my revenge if they leave their shoes lying where I can get to them!

There isn't anywhere in the house I'm not allowed to go but right now that means downstairs only since there is no way I could climb those stairs but that's OK because there's lots of interesting things to do (and chew) downstairs. I particularly like that big white noisy thing they put all their dishes into after dinner. If nobody is looking I get to lick the nearest plate.

My grandad tells me he will be taking lots of photos of me and hopes to get a few embarrassing ones like yesterday when I fell asleep on the couch, turned over and promptly fell off! The worst part was that I couldn't get back up again by myself . Rory had to lift me up so I gave him a lick then settled down for another nap.

Which reminds me. This puppy business is hard work and I'm due for my afternoon nap right now. Be seeing you!

Small, but welcome, I don't doubt.

Is he a bichon frise? He looks very like "Cooper" who joined my daughter's family a couple of months ago. Cooper also tries to lick the plates in the dishwasher!

He is indeed a bichon frise. I hadn't really noticed them before but since he came along I've been seeing bichon frise everywhere! They are very popular and apparently very good-natured.

OMG Rocco you are adorable!

Cooper is certainly good natured, he would need to be in a house that includes the "tiny terror" but I don't think they are very smart but then maybe a companion dog doesn't need to be smart.

Rocco says 'thank you' and asks me to say that signed photographs are available at very reasonable prices! emoticon

Bichon Frise are not only very intelligent, they're fiercely loyal and very courageously protective. Great pick!
