Food Blog Versus Foodie Blog

Here are three definitions for a “foodie”.
Definition 1: (noun; informal) a person with a particular interest in food; a gourmet. … Synonyms: gourmet, epicure, gastronome, gourmand (Source: Top of Google search results)
Definition 2: “A foodie is a person who has an ardent or refined interest in food and ... seeks new food experiences as a hobby rather than simply eating out of convenience or hunger.” (Source: Wikipedia)
Definition 3: a person having an avid interest in the latest food fads (Source: Merriam-Webster)
- Side Note: “foodie” was the WordoftheDay on 09/09/2015 for Merriam-Webster.
Had a friend tell me that there were no rules about blogging “topics” and that you were not restricted or limited in any way. Blog about whatever you choose. If others like the subject, they will read your blog.
(Another Side Note: There are some activities that can get your blog eliminated , but that's another topic for discussion.)
I am glad the term “ foodie ” was redefined or rather, the definition was revised/expanded to include amateur food lovers like me. Because I could never publish a food blog like Jovina or Tracey or Amy .
But I can do a foodie blog! :)

I love food but tend to stay away from recipes because 1. My husband prefers his traditional meals and 2. I eat too much of them!
