Christmas is round the corner

As usual I am engrossed in organising an event and this time for the mentally challenged I have no idea how it is going to be as I have absolutely no idea how to go about it. I have taken the help of those who are in charge and they have promised help

Gifts have been bought based on their mental capability. There will be decorations again, i just bought some and there will be strewn on the floor to brighten up the ambiance. I have gifted our which we put up at our home last year. All the stuff that will go up was bought online last year.

The caterer has been given the order and there will be a lots of music, game, dancing and fun.

It is difficult at this point to say whether it will be a great experience but i am keeping my fingers crossed.

Wish me good luck

Christmas is a busy time. We've started planning it as well. The tree is up, decorations are up, and it's all underway. I hope you are able to enjoy your holidays.

I have some experience in my life advocating for those who peoplelook at as different. We should treat people with cognitive disabilities no differently than people without them. Treat them as people.

Each of us have things that we can and cannot do, and ways of thinking that are different than others. Just love them For who they are...people.

I know people with disabilities both cognitive and physical who are Kinder, more giving people than some of those that I know who have all their faculties and money to back it up. We can learn much from people who are not caught up in all the things that we sometimes can lose our own heads in.

With all of your experience in throwing these parties, I'm sure that you will be brilliant. And anything you do will be much appreciated.

Since I will be entertaining this group for the first time and also meeting them for the first time I am not sure how I will do to keep them amused. When I took along their care takersa with me to choose gifts I realised how different the choices were from what I normally choose for those kids that had no issues. They told me they were good with their hands and not to go for pens and pencils!!!
