Do You Sleep With a Dolly

Dolls have a special place in the heart of my daughter. She is above 18 yet she cannot sleep without curdling a doll. Sometimes we try to snatch them away from her but she will cry when she stirs from her sleep. She will rise up and pick another doll from her collection, and goes back to sound sleep. My daughter has a vast collection of dolls. They range from teddy bears to other strange looking ones. We used to buy for her but now she purchases for herself. How did the habit begin? I think it began because she was always alone as all the elder ones had gone to boarding schools. During the holidays, they often went visiting our relatives. We could not let our last born out of our eyes. The dolls became her company. She could talk, wash and dress them. She then arranged them neatly on her bed. They had fancy names too. Most names came from storybooks. There was Cindrella, Alice in Wonderland and The Three Musketeers. The one set as a feature image is named after me.

I used to have a toy rabbit that I took to bed with me after I moved to go to university. It reminded me of home. That only lasted til I got married. Some of my granddaughters like to cuddle soft toys and you dare not remove them, or they will wake.

You seek to snatch away a doll out of your daughter's bedroom when she is 18? I see no problem with the act, and would certainly give my daughter her freedom to do this. By the way: the word you may have wished to use is cuddling, not curdling. One curdles milk. One cuddles an animal or another object. I feel certain, though, it's a mere typographical error. Your article is too well written to be anything other than a typo.

No I don't, it finds me dreaming a scary movie. That dolly will become alive and eats me.
