Checking in

It has been forever since I've been here. In fact, I've not been writing much at all. I have been keeping a journal over at mylot, showing the progression of the nest and birds that hatched that I found on my back patio on May 2nd. Today they all left the nest. I also have been writing a little bit more on my blog. I wrote last on the 15th, the day that commemorated a specific anniversary. The reason for my lack of writing, was that I started up with the site called blogjob once it opened back up. I was excited about it, but within a few days it stopped the payment program. No, I am not concerned so much about the payment. But I'm concerned that things change so quickly that one cannot keep up with it, and that just makes me extremely cautious. There is another place that I joined up, but I haven't written over there. I think I just am tired of constant changes. I would like some semblance of sameness. Perhaps that's just asking too much. I do hope that everyone, that is still around here, is doing well and that life is treating you kindly.

Yes, this site has stayed pretty much the same for a while and is just chugging along. That photo looks as if you have added a "portrait" or "artistic" kind of filter - beautiful. Glad to hear the birds have flown. Wonder if the parents will get some rest or raise another brood.

No filters. Just added flash because it was so dark on the patio with the grey skies.

emoticon  Thank you, Luis. I am encouraged that this site is still up and running. Paid or no paid, this has been the place which feels most like home for a very long time.
