Your Notification Area Is Your Best Friend

I woke up excited and I couldn't wait to check in my PersonaPager account. It is quickly become one of the top sites on my routine. Then, my balloon got deflated after I check in to my notification area.

I got five SPAM COMMENTS from the same user! You know, the one that said "Nice post, read your post, share your post etc." with a string of question marks following it.

My heart dropped because it is obvious that this user didn't bother to read any of the posts that Ashley or the &moderators have been consistently discussed.

I understand that English is not every user native language, and writing a meaning comment could be a difficult task after publishing a post.

So here is why your notification area is your best friend:

-You will see who "likes" your post You will see who "comments" on your post You will see who "publishes" new post

-If you don't know what to say in the comment box or if you are crunched for time, just LIKE the post, and they might return a visit.

A spam comment really is a turn off for everyone to check you out.

Put the Notification area to good use!

Yes, I am sure Ashley is doing is best to eliminate this issue, but I just don't understand why people won't read the RULES or anything like that before joining a site..Thanks &waterlily !

I haven't seen any spam comments since the spam article advising against it yesterday. Although, those nice posts statements never really bothered me. I just assumed that most of the time people just never knew what to say and wanted to leave a note to show the writer that they read their post. But I see where the administration is coming from since a lot of people do hate those type of comments.

I have a couple of users doing this on my post, and even on the spam article itself..It's easy to tell who has read the post or not though! Thanks Linda-From-US

I am still having a hard time understanding the notifications area, and like to give good comments to those that comment on my posts. If I can not comment, I will find a post that I can give a worthwhile comment to.

You can see in the notification area who follow you, like, or comment on your post! Just click on their name to go to their profile, or the title of your post to reply to a comment, Laura-n-Sasha

Thank you for this post. I am new to the site and am still learning how to get the most out of it. I really appreciate the people that are writing posts about how it works.
