He Identified Himself as the Criminal!

No Identification Parade Needed

There was rioting in Belfast last summer (well it's almost obligatory over here at certain times) but these days, the police have cameras up and also many houses and shops have CCTV filming around the local area. Following the rioting, police collected the footage from the cameras and tried to identify culprits filmed throwing bricks and bottles. This footage was also uploaded as videos, whether on Facebook or Youtube, I don't know.

Tagged Himself

One of the people seen in the riot footage tagged himself on social media as having been present at the rioting! Of course, the police also trawled through the social media to see if anyone had identified any of those present. So the culprit found himself with a jail sentence.

His Excuse

He had been on a 3-day drinking binge and couldn't remember being involved in any rioting incidents!

This is funny. In a sad sort of way. I would hate to be in a riot period!

Yes, I did consider putting it under humor and also awarding a "Darwin Award", but thankfully no one was killed! But a riot situation damages property and people can get hurt, although the young people involved often seem to find it "fun"!

I don't know. It doesn't depend on me. If the income generated is sufficient to pay the hosting costs, then maybe. If people keep visiting, writing and commenting, then it becomes more likely.
