A mishmash of thoughts

Last night I put up 10 jars (half-pint) of apple butter and plum butter. For those who are not familiar, it does not have any butter in it, but it's like a jam that's more of a paste. I don't have a water bath canner so I use the towel in the bottom of the big pot and then put the jars in to get them to the boiling point after I labeled everything into the jars. All seemed to seal just fine. Hearing the pings of the top says they field remind me of when I made jam with my favorite aunt five decades ago.
tonight I've been going through some stacks of paperwork and sorting. I have a full bag of paper that can hit the recycle bin, and another stack that I have to shred. I have also started a box that has some books and magazines that will be taken down to the thrift store or I might take to the VA center.
One of the books was a paperback that I just finished today--The Survivor by Gregg Hurwitz. It was a story that was okay, but I really didn't like the author's style. I don't even know how to describe it.
well, I should probably try to get some sleep now that it's 2 o'clock in the morning. To all who stopped in and read, I hope you're all having a great day or evening, as the case may be.

Hope you get some sleep. Decluttering can work on the mind too!

I miss reading your articles. Your articles made me think. Are you still interested in writing eBooks?

I didn't fall asleep until about 3:30, & I was awake at 7. It is now 7:25, but I have showered. I have a list of things to do today that I've met that pretty strongly. We'll see what happens but I need to start looking at my days off as work days, because if I don't I end up getting really depressed. I'll let you know how it goes.

Thank you so much, mark. I am, but I don't know how to start or which way to turn. And I have a couple of things I need to straighten up before I launch into another project that will take me away from some of the decluttering that I need to do in my mind and in my space. But I am open to reading about it and how to do it.

I was surfing on the web this morning and I ran across a new writing site called BusyBlinks.com. I trust your ideas and thinking and I wondered if you could check it out. It is a brand new site it looks like. Let me know I still check in here once in awhile. Good luck with the organization of life.

I will take a look at it this weekend. & I will email you and let you know. In fact, if you would send me a quick email and let me know about that site and a few others that you want me to check out, & I will certainly take a gander! Thanks for helping.

Sleep is SO essential. I do treasure it. I can see you do, too. I try to be in bed by about 10:30 or 11:00. Sometimes it's 12:00. That's generally because I'm watching something I've downloaded. Recently I found one of my very favorite movies on YouTube and just had to download and watch it - The Young Doctors (1961). I'm at home writing like a fool and posting articles. Also I have a new guest writer on my website, QuirkyScience. He's a most generous and gifted mathematician. He knows I can't afford to pay him, yet he's willing to post with me. I wish you well wherever you write. It's a tough way to make any income, but it is a pleasant means of communication, certainly.

It actually seems a little too busy for my taste. As well, I'm not exactly sure what forum is really like or the purpose of it. I found it a bit confusing. markgraham calmgemini

Thank you, Vince. I ended up getting about 3 hours of sleep. Not enough!
CoralLevang wrote on February 19, 2016, 2:46 PM
It is 10 minutes before noon and I have gotten some things done, but not everything! In fact I'm away from the house! Because I thought about some other things I've got to do so I've got to go pick up medications.
VinceSummers wrote on February 19, 2016, 2:51 PM
I so understand. As I'm getting older, I find 9 hours about right.
CoralLevang wrote on February 19, 2016, 2:56 PM
That might be right, but I usually get about 4 or 5 hours less than right!

If you are interested in writing books, e or otherwise, please check out booktrope.com. I'm not certain if they're accepting anyone new just now, but they are definitely worth a look. A friend of mine published her first novel with them in 2012. Number 4 came out just around Christmastime this year (well, technically, last year) along with three or four "between the files" stories.
