What if Persona Paper continues without payment?
I was wondering if rather than closing down that PP just continues without payment like what myLot did. They came back and all is well there now. We could continue posting here and chat with our friends.
elitecodex could throw some light about this possibility as there is already a community waiting to continue when the time is right.
What is your opinion. Do you think this would be viable for the owners of the site. I do not know if they have to pay to stay on the Net without getting Ads. A site that is established could be there as starting it all over again would be a task once again.
This is just my thought. I would not want PP to disappear lock stock and barrel

It has been therapeutic for me to write here. Many writers are house bound and have no other means of interacting with others and this site has always been a safe place for me to trust. I would write here for free.

I think it would cost to keep it up. I think I heard mylot was even asking for donations at on time to keep it going because of that

Of course owners have to pay for domain :) I hope PersonaPaper wont close. I am fine to stay without payment. I am learning a lot from reading others' posts. :)

My first experience on the Net was with Rediff Q&A where we just exchanged news and views and there was no payment.

I think it's time to face reality. We can still keep in touch on myLot, which is open to all. You even have private messaging if you need it. Heather and Will would still have expenses to keep the site running and it would still take time to administrate. There are always updates and plug-ins, etc. to tend to. It's time for all of us to move on, I think, but still keep in touch on other sites or through private emails or messaging.

Problem with that is that it would cost money to host the site. I would be happy to see it continue and would continue posting. That would be good if it could keep going and maybe see if it could return. Great idea.

To keep it alive I suppose they would have spend some money but that would be a good idea in the long run as this is an established site. I have seen a comment by elitecodex on his own post of announcement that he may consider retaining the site.
