Ever Onward and Up!

Always a bit of hope that PP wouldn't be folding its tent, but not entirely unexpected. Tinged with some sadness and a bit of moderate cursing at Google. 'Do no evil', huh! How about doing a little better.

Still, they are forking over a little back tax, to the UK Government and I guess they have to make up the shortfall somewhere!

I daresay, it is not all down to Google, but when you are the biggest you have to expect the odd brickbat, verbal or otherwise, thrown in your direction.

The main thing that will be missed is the community and support of fellow writers at PP, but with the free exchange of ideas, views and knowledge I expect to continue meeting my fellow PP exiles at various sites and enjoy a view into the world of others, along with their compatriots furred or otherwise!

Where else do you write at

Rufuszen wrote on January 31, 2016, 2:59 PM

I have opened a hubpages account, but posted nothing. That'll be changing! I shall be looking at some of the sites that have cropped up in various articles and see which ones I can use. I shall have to be quick as I'd like to post my new home(s) on PP before they go

Google are a law unto themselves. Good luck wherever you end up.

All writing is suffering, but I think the model that allows the "Goodmorning PPers" and the "I Ate Corn Mush for Breakfast" posts that added to PP's demise.

Possibly too big, the 'free' market has a lot to answer for. TVM, must look for you in the blogosphere

Yes, it probably did which is a pity. I don't mind the all inclusive approach and a little peek into other worlds

I see in your response to wolfgirl569 that you have opened a HubPages account. I am on HP and will look you up there. If you find yourself on myLot, you can find me there as DWDavis

Google paying its back taxes? Huh! About 3% of what a UK located business with no offshore tax havens could expect to pay!

So far I am still happy with ;)

I found you on Hubpages and followed you and will be checking into MyLot in the next days, once I've got my act together. I have compiled a list of various sites from articles on PP and will be looking into them later on.

I did say little! emoticon  It was nteresting to hear how much they and Apple have sitting in Bermuda beyond the reach of any tax person

TVM for that, will be taking a look

Where are you now?

Well, guy, Meg Learner is trying hard to breathe new life into PersonaPaper. I've returned and am giving it another shot. She doesn't pay us, but she has offered an initiative.
