Where Is Everyone Heading When Persona Paper Closes?

It seems like every time I get used to a site and how to post things they end up closing or screwing members over in regards to payments (yes, that means Bubblews). The weasel that ran that site has a few others that he's trying to grow but if people get wise to the fact that he's associated with them he will lose all his current writers.

With this site closing I really want to know where everyone is heading. While I love to make money online I'd be willing to 'write' for about the same pay scale (obviously for more detailed content etc) that I have become accustomed to. I refuse to work with iWriter any more because they are nothing more than "if you buy this we will give you this" as well as "hey, get more jobs by paying US" – sorry, they should be paying the writers AND stepping in when their writers get ripped off. Been there, done that … they can keep the eight dollars and change they owe me.

If I have to write at a content mill I probably won't be too happy about it; I'd love to be able to write product reviews again but I won't do it for free (Amazon, Yelp etc) and I certainly won't pay to join a site to "verify my identity" and "prove I am serious" about writing.

Are there any other pay-to-write sites out there?

Where can I get my 'writing fix' when this site goes dark?

Your best bet for regular (but probably not spectacular) income is myLot - although that's more of a social blogging site than a ''proper'' writing site. You could start your own blog - I did so about 10 weeks ago and it's doing quite well - or you could join another blogging/writing site. There is one called BlogJob (I am not a member) of which I have heard good things.

I have been trying to get on to that site for quite some time but they have not been accepting new writers.

I'm talking about blog job

I was with MyLot a LONG time ago when they had an actual pay base and jobs you could do at the site. I will have to check out the other site you mentioned

http://blogjob.com/register/ = message ... User registration is currently not allowed.

Although I am not a member of BlogJob I follow a few who are and the site seems to be above board. Why they are not accepting new members is unknown to me but likely it is a temporary thing (PP did this for a time ages ago).

missfortune CoralLevang - I have been in touch with my connections on BlogJob and there is a dispute at the moment about credits for introducing new members. Until that is sorted out they have put a moratorium on new admissions

I also would love to know where other people are going. I can't imagine not writing my silly stuff each day.

I might suggest examiner.com. They are more new oriented, but you can write movie reviews, book reviews, and such. The downside is the pay is low and the social interaction is nill. And the ads are all over the place. &misfortune CoralLevang

You can to write for Allvoices which is citizen journalism. The site called Wikinut used to pay their writers before they could not pay their writers anymore in December 2015. Other than those websites there are not many pay for writers sites that I know of,

A possibility is niume.com. I have joined and made a few contributions, but I don't know all that much about it, including what its payment policy is. My other approach has been to start assembling my own collection of "article blogs" on Blogger in the hope of eventually getting an income from AdSense.

Blogspot. Mylot. Maybe Elitewriters. Possibly Mykites or Bloglob again. Add me as Minister Jacky on Facebook or find Freya the Cat blog Cat on Freya the Cat's Amazing Dinner Dish Tales, her own Face book page. I will miss it here.

I have no problem verifying identity. I got paid by bitLanders many times. ;)

I have two blogs, www.allsortsartbyali.blogspot.com and www.whatsgoodingreensboro.blogspot.com , an Etsy shop called AllSortsofArt a Facebook page for All Sorts of Art by Ali and a Facebook page for What's Good in Greensboro?, my local blog about where I live. I might develop another blog, or a few more, to post articles that aren't included in the narrower focus of those two. I'm also thinking about trying MyLot, since it seems many of you might end up there. I'm too lazy for Examiner or HubPages.

Heading for writing for others, as in providing content to order. It's a skill I have been honing lately, with my blog, and one I intend to utilise to the full now. I was already spending more time on that after the big B shut, now, I have no distractions not to. My blog will love me, and I have plans to upgrade that to a WordPress outfit this year if I can. I am NOT going to MyLot or anywhere else. That bubble burst awhile ago, especially given the prevalence of adblockers now.

I plan to focus on Examiner, my novel, and the occasional client-based gig.

I've been at MyLot for ten years LOL .. I couldn't beleive it when I saw it on my page. Hey, I posted a couple things yesterday there and ended up making .29 cents. If I can get a little more active I could probably cash out once a month. Money is money

Sounds good! I have created two new blogs, although one doesn't have anything on it yet. The other one is www.bucketofuseful. blogspot.com

I am going to put a post up about sites I know about where you can get paid to write. I have been writing online for over a decade so know of a few but since I haven't been doing much writing since starting my nursing career I plan on going round and checking them all out first so its a work in progress, I am just going to start putting it together now
