Rough last few days

it's been a very bad last few days. Tuesday I found out that one of the people that I used to work with some years ago back in SLC had passed away. I was very fond of her, and really admired her skill at creating things. One of my more prized possessions was a painting that she did of pansies, not just a few, but a carpet of them in lovely collours. I loved it the moment that I saw it, and knew I had to have it. Marshelle graciously sold it to me. Another memory is of her making a quilt with green and floral hexagons, all of them carefully cut and stitched together by hand. She was smart, funny, and very very quick-witted. And when she smiled, she just glowed.

All of this has reminded me how much I miss the people that I worked with for nearly a decade. The job itself I do not miss, but the people -- oh yes.

Last night wasn't good; I've been tasting acid all day, and feeling rotten. So, no tomato sauce making today. Tomorrow, yes, I have to. But today, I feel hit by a truck.

Finished watching a K-Drama, Hundred Year Inheritance, and it was pretty enjoyable. I loved the heroine's family, especially her grandparents. Yes, it's a typical soap opera with lots of over the top story, but there are some very interesting characters. And when there are bad people, such as Min Chae-won's mother-in-law, who is wicked and evil as all get out.

Other than that, there's not much going on. I hope that everyone else is faring far better than I am.

It's always a shock to find people you knew and were friendly with have passed away.

I'm sorry that you had such a hard day. I know how difficult it is when the challenges we face like this tend to get on the road in front of us. I wish you peace during this time.
