Our "Cold" Snap Is Breaking

You wouldn't expect to have a "cold" snap in northeastern Thailand, but that is exactly what we have been having since Sunday, January 24. Now on Thursday, January 28, under partly cloudy skies, the sun is finally coming out and our high should reach at least 68 degrees (20 degrees Centigrade) this afternoon.

Temperatures ranging from 45 degrees to 61 over the past four days have seemed like a "cold" snap because usually our thermometer shows in the range of 70-92.

I never realized how much I loved and appreciated warmth from the sun until it disappeared and I couldn't see or feel its rays starting on last Sunday. Over the past three days, we have had welcome showers, but the accompanying damp and chilly weather has been uncomfortable and awful! If I would have had a fireplace or space heater in my home, I could have coped a lot better.

Hopefully we won't experience this weather again until January of 2017.

Glad it is warming back up again. But I am jealous of your "cold" snap lol

Philippines is getting "residuals" of the cold winds up there( at least up to the Luzon island); let it not snap, we are enjoying every bit of it

I am glad it the cold is giving way for warmth.Only when we miss what we have taken for granted do we come to know its value.

We've been having a mild spell, but frost is on the forecast again. I look forward to that!

I'm glad it's warming up for you, and I hope it stays that way.
