Speed with arrogance

“Oh, just do it”, my Korean colleague would always tell me. He seemed to be turning himself to a Nike shoes whenever he announces that. He would always top that with:“Speed with arrogance”. As a proxy of the Korean population, I would typically label Koreans having type A personalities: always on the go; hyper-active; and with overflowing ideas.

This Korean colleague would always perceive when I am too stuck with something; something I am unable to finish. To wake me up from deep pit, he snaps and asks me not to overnalyze; to not be paralyzed by becoming overly right to the point of being righteous. And finally he would slap me hard in the face by saying: “Holier than thou again, friend?”

My ego is once again bruised.

I guess these gestures makes the qualities of a good friend, don’t you think so?

I guess so. Friends don't let friends be overly-cautious!
