What's for dinner? January 25

What is everyone having for dinner tonight? I want to know!

I'm in the mood for Italian-American comfort food this evening so I'm making baked ziti. Yummy pasta and cheese is exactly what the doctor ordered! My husband never considers a meal complete without some form of meat being involved so I have had the genius idea to put pieces of pepperoni in the baked ziti mixture. We shall see how that goes over with him.

I have a loaf of crusty bread that I just made on Saturday so I plan to take a couple of pieces from that and turn them into garlic bread to go with the ziti. I don't think we are going to mess around with any vegetables tonight. It is just going to be a straight up carb-fest.

That's what's going on the table here. What's happening at your house?

Unfortunately, veggies-only won't fly with my husband. I'll just make sure we have lots of them tomorrow with our meat. hahaha

I made pork tenderloin; it had been marinating for about three days in a combination of soy sauce, pineapple juice, honey, garlic, a couple ounces of beer and sliced green and red peppers (seeds removed). I don't cook the peppers but they do get a little soft when you microwave the juice / marinade. I can't stand the peppers so I don't cook them with it. It went on the grill and was seared for a few minutes on each side then placed on some aluminum foil to cook for about thirteen minutes.
