Have I ever mentioned I love my slow cookers?

If not, I so love them. If I have, I can't say it enough LOL!!!

I have 3, 2 are regular style crock slow cookers (6 qt and a 2 qt) and the 3rd is a metal casserole with a glass lid that sits on the heating part. That one I like as I've used it for oven cooking, tho the non-stick finish is long gone. The base was supposed to double as a griddle, but that didn't turn out well. The coating on it did strange things when I attempted sausage links. Then again, I got that thing in 1984, so not surprised as non-stick science was still not there yet.

Yesterday I tossed a couple rotisserie chicken carcasses I had in the freezer into the 6 qt cooker and made chicken stock. Salvaged the meat, lunch today will be chicken with rice soup. Considering using the rest of the stock later in the week for chicken and dumplings.

Today I have a chunk of cheap beef in the metal slow cooker for shredded beef something for dinner tonight.

I bought a small slow cooker years ago and had not used it much till recently. Now it is fast proving itself useful. I do the vegetables in it for soups and stews and it is great not to have to bother with a frying pan. I always thought you had to add liquid, but mine works well with oil.

I need to drag my not use it. But since I have lived alone I have probably only used it twice in the last 20 years.

I don't use ours. We have one. My mother used one back in the 70s. She often used it. I hated the long wait times however. I wanted dinner ASAP.

My slow cooker is only big enough for two meals, perfect for me. One to eat and one to freeze. I have been experimenting in cooking different things and am really getting into it

I love my slow cooker. I only have one but am thinking of getting another, bigger one.

It can be a pain to have to wait on the weekends for things to cook, but it is nice to have dinner almost ready when I walk in the door after work.

It is nice to have a couple of different sizes so you have flexibility.

I should use mine more than I do. I love how tender meat is cooked in them.
