One Year Since We Lost a Friend…

One year ago, I was surfing through Facebook, and I found out one of our old friends (and a distant cousin), James, had passed away. We hadn’t talked in awhile, but I never had a problem with him; we never had a fight or drama or anything like that. James got along with everyone, and was a well-liked person.
My younger sister, friends and I all went to high school with James. I graduated in 2003, and I think James graduated in 2004. I never thought that come 2015, we would be attending his viewing and funeral. I never thought we would be attending the viewing and funeral of any of our friends this soon.
The last time I saw James was years ago when I was walking home from work, and some guy came over to me. You see, James had grown facial hair, so I didn’t realize it was him at first. Needless to say, I was a bit startled lol. But we spent a few minutes catching up before heading our separate ways. We were on one another’s Facebook, so it’s not like we didn’t have any type of contact. There was supposed to be a Halloween party with the old crew just a few months before James’ passing, but some people had come down with a bad cold, so it was a no-go.
Anyways, I guess I’ll wrap this up. I just wanted to say this --- Rest in Peace, James. You were too young to go, and we’re all thinking of you. Rest easy and stay out of trouble. ;) We love you.<3
