Finally the sunflowers have entered our garden

As I had mentioned in one of my earlier posts the year 2015 was dedicated to seasonal flowers which were neglected so far. I ordered for several seeds online but just a few gave me the desired results.

My niece from Australia who had visited me recently had brought a few sunrflower seeds which I had sown. My maid also gave me some from her sunflower farm. All these seeds germinated and they have now started flowering. I have put them in several pots and every single plant has buds. These two plants already have the flowers. They still have to bloom to their fullest and I am waiting for that to happen. I shall collect seeds from these flowers once they dry up.

I really like sunflowers a lot. For the past four or five Spring and Summer seasons, I have grown them and they end up being so pretty and nice.

I hope to carry on from now on as I am planning to preserve the seeds.

Some sunflower seeds that had dropped from our birdfeeder into a pot of dirt below grew into sunflowers that the birds enjoyed, and as well they should, since they planted them!

Birds can fill one's garden with flowers that they bring from elsewhere too!! Their droppings contain undigested seeds.

I am quite encouraged to go for seasonal flowers although many seeds that I got online did not work.
