My Writing Goals for 2016

Afternoon, Persona Paper! I hope everyone's well. And I hope everyone is having a great 2016 so far. This year I've decided to scale back on my freelance writing, which has been my main source of income for the past couple of years. I've never made that much off of it, which hasn't been a problem since I'm only nineteen and I'm a first-year college student. But I need to start looking to the future where not only will I need to have an apartment and buy my own groceries, but I'll also have to pay off student loans. While I know I'll probably have to get a "real" job after college, I want a good cushion in case I can't find one right away. So I'm planning on building up my passive income as much as possible this year. That includes utilizing sites like Persona Paper way more, as well as building up my own blogs. By the end of 2016 I hope to break even on my blog, Lover's Quarrel. I want to be able to post on LQ at least once a week and write on other sites like PP every day, at least a little. Maybe not publish but just write. I know my writing has a long way to go, and as much as I research how to write better, the only way I'll improve is to keep writing. So with any luck, you'll be seeing a lot more of me on Persona Paper. What are your writing goals for 2016?

The van Gogh said: "Not a day without a line." Now I want to commit to that. Good Day!

I wish you all the best in your first year of college. It was a while ago, but I remember those heady days. My youngest is in his second year of college this year.

Judging by your articles I've read, you have already developed some good writing skills. As you write more, and develop your own "voice" you will continue to improve.

My writing goals for this year are to finish revising and editing my sixth novel and publish it this summer. I also have two other books in the works that need more attention.

Thank you and I hope I will improve. It's already becoming easier just to write now. That's cool that you're working on your sixth novel! I wish you the best of luck with editing that, and giving more attention to your other books.
